We are moving toward a world in which trade & investment barriers are declining; perceived distance is shrinking due to advances in transportation & telecommunication technology; cultural differences are converging and economies are merging into independent, integrated global economic system. The globalization has created both opportunities and threats for all kinds of organizations accustomed to operating merely in their home markets.
Given we have witnessed the globalization of markets and a wide range of value-added activities, this course aims to prepare freshman students to be effectively participants in the worldwide marketplace with cross-cultural mindset & competence, and become more familiar with managerial approach to international business.
